Week 4 9/5 Bob Esponja

One Month BBBBOOYYYSSS!!!

This has been the slowest but fastest month of my entire life!! haha
Wednesday we had our first offical PDay where we didnt go to the temple. So pretty much isntead of being in class for 12 hours, we just played sports and ate food for 12 hours. Which was way awesome.

These best thing all week was probably just plaing frisbee with these Caps that we take off the giant 20 Liter water drums. You can fling them like 15 yards to each other, its about the only thing keeping us sane here... I think!! We played Dodgeball with them.. it got pretty violent and one point where we just started throwing them as hard as we could at each other hahaha.

We said Goodbye sunday night to the best district our zone has ever had... besides ours.
They were literally the goofiest people in the entire world. Its was kinda a sad cause they were like the only people nice to us.

We had some devotionals again on sunday and tuesday, i dont remember anything from them, so i guess thats pretty dank. I wrote notes down, i just dont remember them hahah. The devotionals pretty much just give everyone motivation for like 2 days and then everyone is back in the slump of being tired in the mornings and being lazy again. hahah I actually jsut found my notes from one of the devotionals. I would some it up but it was super long and super good. So if you want it, you can actually find it. They just showed us a video from Elder Bednar. Go look for it. He talks about Chapter matthew 4, where the lord is being tempted by satan i think, and while being tempted by satan and going through hard trials it says in Matthew 4:2 that he sent an angel unto Paul, who was currently in prison at that point. But anyways it was about the Character of Christ and how Christ always turned outwards even during his hardest times.

We had some "soap chicken" on thursday i think. It was chicken that they covered in this red sauce that literally tasted like someone dropped a bar of soap in and just didnt even care. The rest of the food is starting to wreck my stomach. Lets just say the StopLight to the bathroom is always green. hahaha

OOOO I just remembered!! I just received a testimony that God has a sense of humor.. hahah this is too good!! So Tuesday out distrcit had to do this thing called ProMix where we switch companions with a Latino Comp for the entire day. Well, i was super nervous that morning so i prayed the i could understand my companion and we could teach and just learn well together. They went and told us who we had, I had Elder R. I went and found him, and this BOY SPEAKS PERFECT ENGLISH ahahhaha. So whenever I didnt understand anything, i just asked him to say it in english hahah. It was kinda a blessing and a curse, cause i didnt learn much spanish cause i just leaned on him knowing spanish. OOPS!! He taught me a bunch of Slang Gangster phrases in spanish, which is awesome. Also theres a latino that lived in my mission here and he taught me some Peruivian Slang as well. The latinos are super fun here. mostly cause they say whatever they want to the americans cause they know no one can understand them.
This is Elder L! If i could spend the rest of my life with one person it might be Elder L or Elder S. Elder L is the most savage/funny person i think ive ever met. He sits right next to me in class, and like every 20 minutes he just leans over and gives the funniest roast about someone in class or just someone walking by. He is also heading to BYU after the Mission. Also thats us playing futsole. Which i broke my watch playing in. I was goalie and someone lazer beamed it right at me and it hit my watch and broke the pins in the band. Oh Well!!

Quote of the Week, "Commitment is staying true to what you said you would do, long after the mood you said it in has left."

Love,
Elder Kohlert
