Week 6 9/21 +2 days



Dear parents of the missionaries,

We are sorry that you haven’t had any news from your sons until this moment. The reasons are, the missionaries that came from the Mexico MTC had their flight delayed and arrived in Lima at 4am. They are required to complete paperwork the entire day with immigrations in Peru. They are not permitted to work as missionaries until this is completed. The Area office manages these arrangements with the government. Therefore, we will not actually be meeting with the missionaries until tomorrow.

The missionaries that were at the Peru MTC arrived in the mission today, and all of them are fine. They are working with temporary companions today and will join the other missionaries for their initial training tomorrow.

They all will be writing you tomorrow when they go to work with their new companions.

 Hello Family,

ive been in Peru for 2 days and have a long story about getting down here but i dont have time to tell you it all. But ill save it for my Pday which is monday! 

Anways Im here in Peru, my companion is Elder T. Also he doesnt speak any english at all so im pretty much relying on all my 6 weeks of crappy spanish. We just arrived to our area escardo which is like 20 minutes from the mission home. Ive only been here for about an hour. We are staying in an apartment of a members house here. Tonight we are going to contact and maybe teach some lessons to some investigadors. Hopefully I can teach them correctly and actaully be able to speak spanish. Wish me Luck!! Ill email you guys some more details on my PDay. Peru is very interesting, expecially the drving down here, they are literally insane. Reminds me a lot of Thailand... and utah drivers, i guess hahaha! 

Wish me luck and I will definitely need your prayers! ahahha. Love you all so much!

Week 35 4/1 Ocho Meses!!

Buenas Tardes Casa de Isreal!!! jaajja This week went by pretty fast, I don't know exactly why because we had a garbage week in terms of the missionary work but its cooled down a ton here. It's not so burning hot that I have to change shirts twice a day😊. All I know is that this week is going to be super fast! We have some type of meeting or conference everyday with week. So that pretty much means that we aren't going to be doing much. We have multi-zone Conference which is the entire day almost, then District meeting, zone meeting, weekly planning, and then Saturday and Sunday General Conference! General Conference I think is Christmas for the missionaries. We literally get to watch and listen to our beloved prophet! Plus its even better because is Russell M Nelson.. pretty much every time its a heart attack of announcements!. We've found some cool people this week that we are going to continue working with but no one like out of this world prepared...

Week 33 3/18 Lo siento

Sorry, I don't have a ton of time to write everyone but I will prepare one for the next coming week. In summary, Nely and Lizbeth passed their interviews and will have their baptisms this week. Luis just got the priesthood and next week he will get the Melchizedek priesthood. We found a family of 4.  3 of them have accepted a baptisms date for this 6th of April. They are super awesome and discovered the church the jungle here in Peru.  Some nice leather scripture covers Sorry for the short update. Love you all, Elder Kohlert
