Week 10 10/15 Finna Get Dunked! (Baptisms)

Well Elder Torres and I are preparing for 4 baptisms in the next 3 weeks! We have 2 on the 27th. Their names are Ruben and Carlota. They moved here from Venezuela, like everyone, cause it is super dangerous. She is pregnant and he doesn't have a job. He goes out and sells cookies on the street all day long. I feel super bad cause they are super dank. Like they literally are the perfect members of the church. Every time we visit them they say how thankful they are for everything. They have so much faith in God! They were prepared by god to have this gospel and they deserve it, no one deserves to go through the things have done through and the things they are going through. They have 2 attendances at church and just need 1 more before baptism.

Next we have Jose Valle. He is going through some serious problems with his family. Last Saturday night we received a call from him saying he wasn't going to attend because he talked with his wife and kids for like 3 hours and they convinced him to not go! He has all the lessons and just needs 2 more attendances and can be baptized. But I had an awesome experience after his phone call.

We decided to walk to the park and pray for Jose Valle and send him a message with some scriptures. Its super awesome cause in my mind i was thinking Matthew 10. Elder Torres asks me what scriptures we should send, and he said those same exact scriptures before I even told him those are the ones i wanted to send. Like, we were spiritually connected! There are like 500 chapters in all the bible, BoM, and DC, and we both thought of the exact same verses! Insane! But theres more.

When Torres was typing the message he couldn't remember if the good scriptures were 37-39 or 38-40. I told him 37-39, so we sent those scriptures. Afterwards we looked up those scriptures and its funny cause we meant to send 38-40! But we read 37 and it was an exact match to his situation.

37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. 

I know that was an act from God! I know that this church is true, and that the Holy Ghost influences our lives every single day for the better! Every single day we go through some hard decisions, and if we do it the lords way we will be blessed like none other! Sometimes it will seem like the wrong decision, but God knows all, an even better, he knows what you need! Not what you want! God doesn't care about us being comfortable, he cause that we become more like him!

This week has been amazing not that I look back on it! We taught 14 lessons and had 6 new investigators!
