This is my last week here in Central Lima before I head off to lima east. I had my last interview with president and the assistants. I was pretty sad to leave but after finding out the new Lima East rules I was pretty excited. Finally, we can watch Disney movies on Pdays... Apartment inspections Huge church by the white house of Peru  We decided to let all of our investigators go. We started a new hunt for new investigators. Luckily, God blessed us with a family from Venezuela and an old investigator. She accepted to be baptized this 29th of June, which is awesome.  I also had the opportunity to baptize an 8 year old, but it counted towards the ward. Sorry for the short emails.  Love yall!! my last sector and my birthday with a convert who is the Mission Leader Elder Kohlert

Good Afternoon Beautiful People of Earth... This week was pretty good. I'm starting to adjust to my comp... which will be my comp for awhile. Maybe 4 months haha. We found out this last week that I will be getting moved to Lima East this 27th. It was super sad during the conference with President Strong but president said that he had prayed for each one of us by name to see if we should move missions. So I guess it wasn't him that wanted it but the Lord. President told us that the other president, Presidente Amato, is super cool. He is from Brazil but served in US and lived there for 9 years. He lives here with 4 kids. It's awesome because his youngest daughter is 8 years old and already speaks Portuguese, Spanish, and English fluently haha. I haven't met her yet but I will in a couple of weeks. Today we went to a kids play park thing for p-day. When we first walked in everyone started getting mad at the zone leaders. They didn't know wha...

Week 42: 5/27 Replay Zone

The first news to start off the week, I think, would be that we had a mini earthquake here. Supposedly,  it hit a 4.0 but I don't know because I was sleeping haha. We received a text from the leaders at like 3am to see if everyone was okay,  but we were super confused haha. We also baptized Carmen! It was super cool cause she was one of the first references that I have received that got baptized. Carmen's baptism We also had a pretty funny experience during the baptisms because there was also other people that were getting baptized and one of the older ones passed out in the water because it was so cold. I had to get in, in my normal clothes haha.  I'm probably going to get transferred tomorrow but I'm definitely didn't leave this sector very dry haha, there should be at least 4 baptisms for the elders that get here tomorrow.  We will also be splitting missions in 2 weeks so I might be going to Peru, Limatambo! I'll keep you updated! ...

We just got back from a giant catolic church was way awesome. I'll send you guys some pics. This is my last week with Elder Hedges probably. I'll definitely miss this gringo power companionship. We've had 4 baptisms in 6 weeks. Sorry I'm a little tired right now and can't think much about what to write.

Week 41 5/13 Feliz Dia De Madre!!

Before anything I got a give a shout-out to all the moms out there! Thanks for what you do to keep us on the straight and narrow! This week we filled up the baptismal font for Victor Barrios! He is officially the oldest person I've ever baptized! 70 years old!! He has some of the best stories ever too! One time he told us the story when he was working with his dad in the jungle and some robbers came and killed his dad and left him with his siblings😯. Just stuff like that is just super interesting.  Its starting to get pretty cold here in Lima so the baptismal water is always super freezing so when he went back go under he made the funniest old guy noise hahaha. He said it was refreshing! The couple Jesus and Heidi that I have been teaching for the last 4 months and just got married finally made it to church. They are super awesome and just need a little bit more preparation and testimony and they should be ready for baptism.  This is our last multi-z...

This week we baptized a part member family. Jade and her brother Matias. It  was super awesome cause a ton of members came even though we didn't invite anyone, haha. One even brought a cake for Matias because it was his birthday. Victor passed his interview on Sunday and it be baptized this Saturday at 7pm! He's super funny. He's 65 years old and its such a G. Every time we would start talking about one of the commandments, he would tell us that, that commandment is in the bible and he is already keeping it haha.  Also, 2 investigators that I have been teaching for 4 months just got married! We stopped by their reception for a second to take a picture. I don't have it right now but i will send it when i get it from them! haha After Victor, we are teaching Carmen, she is super awesome. A reference from a member. She already attended 2 times and its super excited to be baptized! MAN I LOVE PERÚ haha!😋 The missionaries don't know how...

Mornin' Everybody!! The highlight of the week was definitely Harleys baptism!! We had quite a few members there to support her, which was way good.  We've been finding a ton of people to teach this week and most of them are progressing towards baptism. This Saturday Jade and her brother and the following week, Victor Barrios. He is a little grandpa dude that is the super funny. I thought he was just an old dude that wanted to listen but the dude fulfills all the commitments and is attending.  Love You guys! Elder Kohlert
